Southampton are said to be keen on Valenciennes midfielder Carlos Sanchez Moreno.

Southampton manager Nigel Adkins is reportedly keen on bolstering his midfield options by adding tough-tackling Colombian Carlos Sanchez Moreno to his ranks.

The 26-year-old, who nearly joined Bolton Wanderers in the summer, is currently plying his trade in Ligue 1 with Valenciennes.

Reading have also been credited with an interest in the defensive midfielder, who has made 25 appearances for his country.

Sanchez joined the French outfit in 2007.
