Southampton have allegedly taken an interest in signing two of Aston Villa's youngsters during the summer transfer window.
Throughout this week, it has emerged that Villa face a battle to avoid administration due to spiralling costs and a failure to earn promotion to the Premier League.
In theory, Villa are allegedly keen to get the club's biggest earners off the wage bill but according to the Daily Mail, the West Midlands outfit could receive offers for two academy graduates.
The report suggests that Southampton are willing to pay £4m to secure the signatures of both Andre Green and Keinan Davis, who both spent time in the first team this season.
Nineteen-year-old Green netted once in five appearances in the Championship, while Davis - aged 20 - contributed two goals and one assist from 28 league outings.
Green has one year remaining on his contract, while Davis is tied down to Villa until 2020.
