Southampton and West Ham United have reportedly joined the growing list of clubs interested in Sassuolo midfielder Filip Djuricic.
The Serbian, who joined I Neroverdi in 2018, sees his current deal expire in the summer and is yet to agree an extension, drawing rumoured interest from across Europe.
According to Italian outlet Calciomercato, Southampton and West Ham United have joined the race to capture the midfielder, with the chance to discuss a pre-contract agreement after the turn of the year.
They are not alone in the pursuit though, with the likes of Shakhtar Donetsk, Napoli and Italian giants Inter Milan and AC Milan also monitoring the 29-year-old.
Djuricic has caught eyes at the beginning of the season, netting two goals and providing an assist from midfield in the first eight games of the Serie A campaign, taking his tally to 14 goals and 12 assists in 96 appearances since joining Sassuolo.
Should Southampton manage to capture their target, the Serbian would be making a return to St. Mary's after a loan spell from Benfica in the 2014-15 season, in which he made nine appearances for the Saints. body check tags ::
