Spain manager Vicente del Bosque believes that his side were good value for their 2-0 win over France.
A goal in each half from Xabi Alonso sent the reigning world and European champions comfortably through to the semi-finals of Euro 2012.
"I don't think it was an unfair result because they didn't really have any chances," said Del Bosque.
"We were in control most of the time. Matches like these are very intense and you have to concentrate very hard to win."
Spain's opponents in the last four will be Portugal in Donetsk on Wednesday.
