Spain and Arsenal midfielder Santi Cazorla has suggested that compatriots Andres Iniesta and Isco can work well together and can both play similar roles in the same team.
The two attack-minded players both put in solid performances during their 1-0 win over Ukraine on Friday evening.
Cazorla replaced Iniesta and saw out the game as Alvaro Morata's debut goal helped seal all three points in the Group C qualifier.
"I don't know who said that Iniesta and Isco can't play together," the 30-year-old told Goal.com.
"Talking about talented players, we must play with all of them because it's always the best option. They are extraordinary players.
"It's a pleasure to see them playing together. We won three really important points for reaching the Euros. It was a key victory. In some moments we played really well but had others with more problems. We must keep working to improve."
Vincente del Bosque was less than impressed with his side's second-half performance against Ukraine, stating that his team must improve quickly.
