Spain manager Vicente Del Bosque has admitted that he will have a difficult time selecting 23 players for Euro 2016 due to the performances of his squad in their qualifying campaign.
The European champions signed off with a 1-0 victory over the Ukraine thanks to a strike from debutant Mario Gaspar, while Cesc Fabregas missed a penalty in the match in Kiev.
Del Bosque has conceded that the performances of the fringe players in his squad over the course of their successful qualification from Group C will make life hard for him to pick his squad next year.
"All of them played well," Del Bosque told reporters. "It is good to look at other players and ensure that they can help us.
"It will be a problem to choose just 23 players for Euro 2016, but there's still a long way to go until then.
"We have solutions and that offers plenty of encouragement, because we have to see the options ahead of the Euros."
The tournament takes place in France next summer.
