Sporting Lisbon have rejected Adrien Silva's claims that the midfielder has agreed to join Leicester City.
The 27-year-old recently told Portuguese publication O Jogo that he is on the verge of signing for the Premier League champions.
Reports claimed that the deal would cost the Foxes in the region of £21m, but Sporting have released a lengthy statement insisting that no bid has been received for Silva.
The Primeira Liga club also referred to an interview that the midfielder gave to the media in May, stating that he intended to stay at the Portuguese outfit.
The statement added that Silva committed the rest of his career to the club by signing a contract in February.
"It was absolutely clear that this extension of the attachment to Sporting CP meant Adrien Silva would be at the club until the end of his career," the club said.
"This has been said and clearly expressed by the club's president to the player, the father of the athlete and their representatives before consummating the renewal of the contract."
Leicester have also been linked to Sporting striker Islam Slimani.
