How Tottenham Hotspur could line up against Borussia Dortmund

Ahead of the Champions League last-16 second leg between Borussia Dortmund and Tottenham Hotspur, Sports Mole looks at how Spurs may line up.

Tottenham Hotspur took a stranglehold on their Champions League last-16 tie with Borussia Dortmund thanks to a 3-0 win in last month's first leg.

Second-half goals from Son Heung-min, Jan Vertonghen and Fernando Llorente inflicted a joint-biggest defeat on Dortmund in this competition and leaves Spurs on the brink of a place in the quarter-finals.

The Lilywhites have lost two and drawn one of their three matches since overcoming BVB three weeks ago, however, so Mauricio Pochettino will be wary of his side crumbling at the Westfalenstadion.

Ahead of Tuesday's clash in Germany, Sports Mole looks at how the visitors could line up.

Out: None
Doubtful: Harry Winks (hip), Eric Dier (tonsillitis), Dele Alli (hamstring)

Pochettino's injury list has cleared up over the past couple of weeks, with Winks, Dier and Alli the only three doubts heading into this return clash with Dortmund.

The likely absence of Winks and Dier in the engine room could force Pochettino to start Wanyama for the second time in the space of a few days alongside Moussa Sissoko.

Assuming Spurs stick with the three-man backline that worked to good effect in the first leg, Pochettino must decide whether to again shift Vertonghen out on the left, where he proved to be the game's best player three weeks ago, or instead go with wing-back specialist Ben Davies. Danny Rose, who started against Arsenal, is another option.

Elsewhere, Harry Kane is back to full fitness after missing the first meeting, but his return to the side has coincided with Son going off the boil. It is unlikely, however, that Pochettino will start without his leading scorer.
