Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris has insisted that a victory at Anzhi Makhachkala is vital for the club's chances of progressing in the Europa League.
Spurs play their first away match of the tournament on Thursday when they face the big-spending Russian outfit at the Anzhi-Arena in Group K.
Lloris and his teammates got their campaign off to a winning start two weeks ago when they defeated Norwegian outfit Tromso 3-0 at White Hart Lane.
"It's our first away game in this competition so it's important to keep our confidence and go to win, and to get three more points," Lloris told the club's official website.
"If we win this game, we have a great chance to finish in the first two in the group. It should be a difficult game away in Russia, it's a long trip but everybody wants to get three more points."
Tottenham reached the quarter-finals of last year's competition before losing to Basel on penalties.
