Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed that Ben Davies will miss the rest of the season after undergoing shoulder surgery.
The Welsh defender dislocated his shoulder in Saturday's 2-2 draw with Southampton, and the club decided an operation would give him the best chance of a full recovery.
It means that Davies will miss the final four games of the campaign, and it creates a problem for Mauricio Pochettino, who was without Danny Rose at the weekend due to a hamstring problem.
Rose is battling to be fit for Sunday's meeting with Manchester City at White Hart Lane, but Spurs could be forced to play Jan Vertonghen at left-back if he does not return.
