Frank Lampard's Major League Soccer bow has been delayed further as a result of a persistent calf injury.
The New York City FC midfielder will also miss the MLS All-Star match against Tottenham Hotspur after failing to shake off the knock.
Lampard has yet to make his debut for the new franchise since officially linking up with his teammates this month, with this evening's Orlando City clash the third game in succession he has sat out.
MLS officials have revealed that New York Red Bulls ace Dax McCarty will now take the 37-year-old's place in the All-Star squad for Wednesday's meeting with Tottenham in Colorado.
