Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp has said that he would let Gareth Bale play for the Great Britain team at next year's London Olympics.
Some Premier League managers have expressed fears that players could become exhausted due to a congested summer schedule which also includes Euro 2012, but Redknapp says that it would be 'an honour' for any sportsman to play at the Games.
"If he wants to play, I am sure we would let him," he said. "It is a great honour for anybody to play in the Olympic Games.
"I am just looking forward to a great summer of sport. We have got the European Championships and the Olympic Games. I'll watch the football but I'd like to go and watch the athletics and boxing."
Spurs, who are currently sixth in the Premier League table, travel to meet Blackburn Rovers on Sunday.
