Tottenham Hotspur defender Steven Caulker has expressed his delight in scoring on his international debut with England.
The centre-back has revealed that a personal target of his was to win his first Three Lions cap before turning the age of 21, which he does on December 29.
"A target of mine was wanting to make my England debut before I was 21," The Independent quotes Caulker as saying.
"I managed to scrape in just before my 21st birthday so I am delighted with that. But to get a goal as well, I was delighted."
Caulker has become the first England player to find the back of the net in a debut performance since five-and-a-half years ago.
