West Ham United playmaker Joe Cole believes that Gareth Bale has the ability to become one of the finest players in Premier League history.
The Tottenham Hotspur winger scored twice as they overcame Sam Allardyce's side 3-2 at Upton Park on Monday.
The brace included a last-minute strike from all of 30 yards, and Cole thinks that Bale's talent could see him one day become talked about in the same way as Thierry Henry and Cristiano Ronaldo.
"He could be up there with the best players in the Premier League's history," Cole told talkSPORT.
"He has still got some work to do, but he has certainly got the potential to be up there with the Ronaldos and the Henrys that this country has seen.
"He is great to watch, but he's a nightmare to play against unfortunately."
Bale's brace against the Hammers took his tally to 15 goals this season.
