Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris has described his first appearance in the Premier League as "a great moment" for him.
The French number one had been forced to sit on the sidelines since his summer arrival from Lyon, with head coach Andre Villas-Boas preferring veteran Brad Friedel between the posts.
However, Lloris was handed his opportunity during yesterday's 2-0 victory over Aston Villa at White Hart Lane.
"It was a great moment for me to play my first game in the Premier League," Lloris told the club's official website.
"It was a good game for us. We could have scored at the beginning, but we managed to in the second half and at 1-0 up, we had to concentrate because the other team can score from a free kick or a corner.
"We played a very good game and closed the match with the second goal."
The 25-year-old had previously played for Spurs in the Europa League.
