Sunderland manager Paolo Di Canio has claimed that on-loan defender Danny Rose has a "great future in front of him".
The 22-year-old's temporary spell at the Stadium of Light comes to an end against Southampton on Sunday as he is ineligible to face parent club Tottenham Hotspur on the final day of the season.
"He's got a great future in front of him," Di Canio is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News. "He's a powerful guy. The strength and elasticity he's got mean he can run forward with the ball and beat people easily.
"It's obvious he can play at the top level, but everybody has to improve."
Rose recently scored his first goal for the Black Cats during their 6-1 defeat at Aston Villa in the Premier League.
