Eric Dier has revealed that he hopes to make an instant impact at Tottenham Hotspur following his move from Sporting Lisbon.
The Cheltenham-born defender, 20, recently sealed a switch to White Hart Lane after spending his formative years in Portugal.
Dier, who has won five caps for the England Under-21s, is now eager to enjoy a good first season in the Premier League.
"Obviously Spurs is a massive club. I've known about them since I was young. I've always enjoyed the way they play, the attacking football," he told Tottenham's official website.
"This season I just want to adapt really quickly to the Premier League, do the best I can, try my hardest and hopefully get a good season."
Spurs return to pre-season action this evening when they meet Celtic in Helsinki.
