Dele Alli will play no further part for Tottenham Hotspur this season.
It was confirmed earlier today that the midfielder had accepted a Football Association charge of violent conduct, which related to an alleged punch on West Bromwich Albion's Claudio Yacob at White Hart Lane on Monday night.
The governing body has since confirmed that Alli did try to challenge the automatic three-match suspension penalty for such an offence, but that plea has been rejected.
As a result, the 20-year-old will now sit out Tottenham's remaining matches of the campaign against Chelsea, Southampton and Newcastle United.
It means that his debut season as a Spurs player will end with 10 goals and nine assists from 28 Premier League starts.
