Tottenham Hotspur defender William Gallas has revealed that morale at the club is very low and the squad are "worried" about losing their grip on fourth place.
Following Spurs' emphatic 5-1 defeat at the hands of Chelsea in the FA Cup, Harry Redknapp's men have only four games remaining this season. If they win all four, they will qualify for the Champions League. However, the Frenchman has admitted that confidence is low.
He said: "I think we have to improve a lot. Even if we have good players and a good squad this result [the loss to Chelsea] shows we are not ready yet. The atmosphere is very bad. The mood is very down.
"Everybody is worried because at the beginning of the season everybody was talking about us, saying we play good football, we can finish third, we are 10 points in front of Arsenal. Now we are five points behind them and we have lost the semi-final.
"It will be difficult because Chelsea and Newcastle are behind us and, after that victory, Chelsea will be very strong. I think they will finish very well so we have to finish well as well."
Gallas's contract at White Hart Lane expires in 2013.
