Tottenham Hotspur have announced that all-time leading goalscorer Jimmy Greaves will be inducted into the club's Hall of Fame next month.
The former England striker was a notable omission from the first 41 inductees over the last 11 years, allegedly due to his strained relationship with the club.
However, Greaves, who scored 266 goals in 379 games for Spurs between 1961 and 1970, will be honoured at a ceremony on May 13.
"For all the fans who have asked me when I will be in the Tottenham Hotspur Hall of Fame, I am delighted that we now have a date," Greaves said upon the announcement. "I am looking forward to returning to White Hart Lane for this very special occasion."
The 75-year-old joined Spurs from AC Milan for £99,999 in 1961 and helped them to two FA Cup triumphs and the 1963 European Cup Winners' Cup.
