Eddie Howe: 'We are all to blame for Tottenham Hotspur defeat'

Bournemouth coach Eddie Howe insists that his whole side were to blame following their heavy 5-1 defeat at the hands of visiting Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League.

Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe has refused to blame goalkeeper Artur Boruc following the cub's heavy defeat to Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League.

The Polish stopper was arguably at fault for three goals in the 5-1 loss that also saw Spurs frontman Harry Kane return to form with a hat-trick at Dean Court on Sunday.

"They were self-inflicted, that's evident," Howe said after the game, according to the Express and Star.

"There won't be fingers pointed. We take collective responsibility. But there is a need going forward that we can't keep giving goals away. We've given teams goals even in the games we've drawn and won.

"Of course, you don't want to see any of your players criticised. They give their all and have had incredible success. I said to the players afterwards, during the success everyone was saying how good you are. Take no notice. It's the same when things are going this way."

Bournemouth currently hold 17th spot in the league standings and are without a win in four games.
