Brighton & Hove Albion manager Chris Hughton has warned his players that they must be at their best to get anything from Tuesday evening's home clash with Tottenham Hotspur.
The Seagulls are in 13th place in the Premier League table, seven points clear of the dropzone ahead of kickoff, but their head coach is seeking a "solid" performance against Spurs to ensure that they remain out of trouble.
"We'll need to play well tomorrow - we're at home and we know they play with a lot of possession. They've also had an outstanding year," Hughton told reporters in his pre-match press conference.
"Generally if we've lost matches it's been by fine margins. We have to make sure that Saturday hasn't set us back. For us it's about being as solid as we can.
"Tottenham Hotspur can still finish second - I'd imagine that's high on their list of priorities. They have a big cup game this weekend but they'll be used to the idea of rotation.
"Over this season we've handled ourselves very well - this club have worked hard to get into this division - this run of games comes with that - we need to recognise where we are in this league, we've been in a healthy position for a long time this season."
Spurs defeated Brighton 2-0 when the two sides last met in the Premier League.
