Tottenham Hotspur assistant Joe Jordan has wished A.C. Milan midfielder Gennaro Gattuso a speedy recovery from an eye injury.
The pair clashed on the touchline in last season's Champions League match between the two sides.
Gattuso has been diagnosed with sixth nerve palsy, a disorder which affects the movement of the eye.
Despite their history, Jordan has wished the Italian a return to full health.
"Forza Gattuso, come back to the pitch soon," he told Radio Mana Mana Sport 24.
"I know what has happened and I am sorry. What happened between us is in the past, it does not matter.
"Gattuso is a great champion and I hope he gets back on the pitch soon. We are all waiting for him. I am sure he will not give up."
Jordan played for Milan for two years when he joined from Manchester United in 1981.
