New Norwich City loan signing Harry Kane has been called up to the England Under-21 squad for the pivotal qualifier against Norway on Monday.
Kane joined the Canaries on a temporary one-year deal from Tottenham Hotspur on transfer deadline day.
The 19-year-old netted nine times in 27 appearances on loan at Millwall last season, form that has impressed Norwich boss Chris Hughton and Under-21 manager Stuart Pearce.
England's youngsters can all but secure qualification for the European Championships with a victory over Azerbaijan on Thursday, while their clash with Norway next week may decide who tops Group 8.
