Tottenham Hotspur defender Ledley King has said that teammate Gareth Bale is a "brilliant" football player and "one of the best around".
King, who returned from the sidelines for Tottenham's midweek clash with Wigan, watched Bale bag a brace in what he describes as a tireless performance en route to the London club's 3-1 win.
"Gareth's brilliant, a top, top player, one of the best around at the moment," he told the club's official website. "He's unstoppable when he's in full flow.
"As defenders we can sit back late on, he picks the ball up in our half and just takes off. It's great for the other players in the team.
"You know he's going to get the ball, knock it and run past players. He can do it when a lot of players are tired."
Tottenham are currently in third place in the Premier League, five points adrift of leaders Manchester City.
