Roberto Martinez has emerged as the surprise contender to take over as manager at Tottenham Hotspur.
The job could become available in the summer if Harry Redknapp is appointed as the new England coach.
Martinez, who has almost guided Wigan Athletic to safety for a third consecutive season in the Premier League, is viewed as an ideal replacement by the hierarchy at White Hart Lane, according to The Sun.
Swansea's Brendan Rodgers and Everton's David Moyes are also thought to be on a shortlist of possible candidates for the position.
