Phil Neville has called upon Premier League chairmen to give English coaches more consideration when appointing a new manager.
The latest vacancy in the English top flight at Tottenham Hotspur was filled by Portuguese coach Andre Villas-Boas earlier today.
Giving his reaction to Villas-Boas's appointment, Everton captain Neville insisted that an influx of English bosses would improve the national team's fortunes.
"I've nothing against AVB but would love for us to start giving English coaches/managers a chance at these jobs," he wrote on Twitter. "It would help national team!"
Thirty-five-year old Neville is currently in the process of taking his coaching badges.
