Scott Parker has praised the contribution of Tottenham Hotspur teammate Jan Vertonghen during his first season at the club.
The Belgian defender, who joined from Ajax in the summer, was recognised for his performances on Sunday night when he was included in the PFA's Premier League Team of the Year.
"You probably wouldn't expect me to say anything else, but Jan's been nothing short of fantastic, an unbelievable player," Parker told the club's official website.
"Technically, he's a very gifted footballer. He's like a Rolls Royce, he glides around the pitch so effortlessly, he can step out with the ball and he's nicked a few goals as well. That's invaluable."
Vertonghen has scored six goals in 45 appearances for Tottenham this season.
