Tottenham Hotspur head coach Mauricio Pochettino has revealed that striker Emmanuel Adebayor could earn a place on the substitutes' bench against Burnley.
The Togo international has been absent since November 9 after picking up a virus as well as being granted compassionate leave, but after training with the squad this week, Pochettino has indicated that the former Arsenal and Manchester City forward will feature over the Christmas period.
The 42-year-old told reporters: "He's available but we will see if I pick him or not. I'm happy with Ade and how he's been training. Maybe he's not 100% yet, but he's not far away.
"He's getting better. He needs training, he needs to improve, especially his physical condition, but he's getting better."
Adebayor has scored just two goals in 12 appearances during the current campaign.
