Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has admitted that his side did not play well enough during their heavy defeat at Stoke City.
First-half goals from Charlie Adam and Steven N'Zonzi put the Potters in charge, before Spurs were reduced to 10 men thanks to a red card for Vlad Chiriches. The home side capped it off with a late third from Mame Biram Diouf.
The result means that the North London side have won just one of their last six, and Pochenttino did not see any signs of improvement at the Britannia Stadium.
He told BBC Sport: "I think we were poor from the beginning. We are very disappointed for our supporters, our club and for us, because the way that we lost the game showed that we need to be stronger and ready to compete.
"You could see in the first half that they were better than us and we gave them the opportunity to score. We were poor."
Spurs next face Hull City before finishing their season with a trip to Everton.
