Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp was delighted with the contribution of debutants Scott Parker and Emmanuel Adebayor in the 2-0 win over Wolves on Saturday.
The pair made their first appearances after moving to White Hart Lane towards the end of the summer transfer window.
Adebayor scored the opening goal at Molineux as Spurs picked up their first win of the Premier League season and ended Wolves' unbeaten run.
"I was delighted with Emmanuel’s performance and Scott Parker, he gave us so much in midfield," said Redknapp.
"He controlled it for us, got his tackles in, broke up attacks.
"Scott’s not just a good player but a top-class professional, someone you can talk to about football. He knows what you are trying to do, he understands the game, can read the game and pulls players into position."
Adebayor joined Spurs on loan from City last month, while Parker joined from Championship outfit West Ham.
Tottenham open their Europa League campaign on Thursday night when they travel to PAOK Salonika.
