Franco Baldini's future as Tottenham Hotspur director of football is in doubt with reports suggesting that the club's boardroom is not convinced that the Italian is the right man for the position at White Hart Lane.
Baldini, who was assistant to Fabio Capello during his reign as England coach, has clashed with both manager Tim Sherwood and chairman Daniel Levy over the direction of the first team, the Sunday People claims.
It is thought that the failure of Erik Lamela to deliver goals for Spurs since his £30m summer move from Roma is at the heart of the tensions between Baldini and other key figures at the North London club.
