Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly launched a bid for Zenit St Petersburg midfielder Axel Witsel.
The North London outfit are believed to be keen to strengthen their side before the close of the transfer window on Tuesday.
According to Sky Sports News, a late €18m (£13m) offer has been tabled to the Russian outfit for Witsel, who has also been linked with a switch to AC Milan.
Reports have claimed that the Italian outfit are only keen on agreeing a loan move for the player, which could boost Tottenham's chances of signing him.
Witsel, who currently plays under former Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas, has scored 15 goals in 105 appearances for Zenit since his 2012 move from Benfica.
