Tottenham Hotspur head coach Tim Sherwood has revealed that he has prevented midfielder Tom Carroll from playing for Queens Park Rangers in the FA Cup on Saturday.
Carroll is currently on loan at the Championship outfit, but Sherwood has insisted that he doesn't want the England Under-21 international getting cup-tied against Everton in the event that he is recalled to the Premier League side.
Asked whether Carroll could return to White Hart Lane, the 44-year-old told London 24: "Possibly. We're looking at the situation. Hopefully we're in the next round so that he can play for us."
The 21-year-old has made 10 appearances for QPR.
