Tottenham Hotspur boss Tim Sherwood has suggested that Kyle Walker might need an operation to mend a persistent pelvic injury.
The defender was recently sidelined for nearly a month with the problem before suffering a recurrence during Spurs' Europa League defeat to Benfica on Thursday.
"I don't know if he will need an operation," Sherwood is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News.
"The medical team are assessing him and making sure they can get him through this period. The boy wants to soldier on and play through it, which is a credit to him.
"But it's a pelvic problem and it's something that might need attention. I've had it myself, it's nagging and it's always there in the back of your mind."
Walker has scored one goal in 34 appearances for Tottenham this season.
