Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Moussa Sissoko has insisted that his team are still capable of finishing in the top four in the Premier League come the end of the season.
A poor start to the campaign has seen Spurs win just three of their 12 league matches, and the capital club are currently 14th in the table with just 14 points to show for their efforts this term.
Mauricio Pochettino's side are 11 points off fourth-placed Manchester City, who suffered a 3-1 defeat at Liverpool on Sunday afternoon.
Despite the size of the gap, Sissoko has said that his team are capable of pushing towards the top end of the table when they return to action following the November international break.
"Of course we are far, far behind the top four, but the season is long and we can still win a lot of games," Sissoko told reporters. "It will not be easy but we know we have the qualities to do it.
"When we come back [after the international break] we will try to catch the teams in front of us and see where we are at the end of the season."
Tottenham were held to a 1-1 draw by Sheffield United on Saturday afternoon, with Chris Wilder's side coming from behind to pick up a share of the spoils in the capital.
