Roberto Soldado has insisted that Paulinho and he will prove to be a profitable partnership for Tottenham Hotspur.
The Spaniard has featured as a lone striker for the majority of the season and in recent weeks he has been supported by Paulinho, with the Brazilian having been given an advanced midfield role.
The pair created an opening during yesterday's 2-2 home draw with Manchester United, but Soldado fired over the crossbar from a narrow angle. However, he believes that the pairing will soon come good.
"It is a shame I did not score because there was some great play between Paulinho and I in the build-up," the London Evening Standard quotes Soldado as saying.
"It is important that we are creating the chances. Paulinho and I were combining well, he is a dangerous player when he runs in from the flanks. We have demonstrated that we are a dangerous combination.
"I think bit by bit we are getting better, we are creating more chances and that is how we are going to end up scoring goals."
Soldado has scored just once from open play in the Premier League this season.
