Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly lined up Juventus coach Antonio Conte to take over at White Hart Lane should Harry Redknapp take the England job.

Redknapp is still the favourite to take over the national team following Fabio Capello's resignation last month.

Conte's agent and a representative from Spurs have made initial contact over a potential deal, according to Italian newspaper Tuttosport.

However, the Premier League club could have to pay Juve compensation as the former midfielder is contracted to the Serie A side until 2013.
