Harry Redknapp has revealed that Jermain Defoe has a "future" at Tottenham Hotspur despite rumours that the striker is seeking a January move.
Earlier reports suggested that the England international was the subject of interest from fellow Premier League side Queens Park Rangers. However, Redknapp has insisted that there will be no departures from White Hart Lane in January.
"His future's here," Redknapp told Sky Sports News. "We ain't selling any of our best players. There's going to be no-one leaving in January that we want to keep, that's for sure.
"If we're going to do anything we'll add to the squad, we won't be weakening it at all. That's the message from both myself and the chairman. If people are not in the side I'm sure they're disappointed but we'll need a squad."
The ex-Portsmouth manager has been open about his admiration for Bolton Wanderers defender Gary Cahill and has refused to rule out a move for Chelsea striker Didier Drogba.
