Out-of-favour winger Andros Townsend turned out for Tottenham Hotspur's Under-21 side during a match with Manchester United Under-21s this evening.
Townsend has not made a single start for Spurs in the Premier League this season or played for the first team since being involved in an altercation with fitness coach Nathan Gardiner at the start of November.
The likes of Southampton, Newcastle United, West Bromwich Albion and Sunderland have all been linked with a move for the 24-year-old during the January transfer window.
Townsend made his fourth consecutive start for the club's Under-21 side at the Leigh Sports Village on Monday night and helped to set up the team's only goal in a 3-1 defeat to United.
The 10-time England international also hit the woodwork during the match but was unable to prevent United from running out fairly comfortable victors.
