Tottenham Hotspur defender Kieran Trippier has claimed that England teammate Kyle Walker is currently the best right-back in world football.
Walker was deployed as a right-sided centre-back during England's run to the World Cup semi-finals, while the 28-year-old has also been used in a similar position at Manchester City.
However, Trippier - who is now first choice at right wing-back on the international stage - has suggested that Walker is the stronger player in the position.
Trippier told Soccer AM: "At this moment in time, for me, personally, Walks. When I was playing with him at the World Cup, how quick and powerful he is. Even on the ball, you see it at Man City, he's so comfortable.
"He's got everything for a full-back, and he's only getting better playing at Man City. So for me, he's the number-one right back in the world."
Trippier and Walker were teammates at Spurs before the latter's switch to the Etihad Stadium in 2017.
