Tottenham Hotspur manager Andre Villas-Boas has revealed that defender Vlad Chiriches is in contention to make his debut against Cardiff City on Sunday.
Chiriches has been awaiting a work permit since his transfer from Steaua Bucuresti, but the £8.5m signing is now available to feature for the White Hart Lane outfit.
The 35-year-old told reporters: "I think the paperwork has arrived, so hopefully everything can be concluded."
The Romanian international has made 21 appearances for his country.
