Tottenham Hotspur full-back DeAndre Yedlin has admitted that defeat to Aston Villa left him with mixed feelings following his debut for the club.
The USA international, who arrived at White Hart Lane from Seattle Sounders in January, made his first appearance as a second-half substitute on Saturday, but he could not hide his disappointment after Christian Benteke secured the points for the visitors.
"It's unbelievable to make my debut here, something I've looked forward to for a while now but the circumstances weren't the best and it was a disappointing loss," Yedlin told the club's website.
"The only thing going through my head now is the loss. The debut was great but the loss overshadows everything. It's disappointing but we have to keep our heads up.
"We'll look to come back and get those points back."
Yedlin will be bidding to make his first start for the club against Newcastle United next Sunday.
