Tottenham Hotspur have kicked off their pre-season campaign with an entertaining 3-3 draw against Seattle Sounders at CenturyLink Field.
The visitors were ahead with 11 minutes on the clock when Lewis Holtby got on the end of Harry Kane's flighted ball, which he managed to head over Stefan Frei to give Spurs the breakthrough.
Seattle wasted numerous opportunities to level the contest, before finally finding a way through courtesy of Michael Pineda's 33rd-minute penalty after Michael Dawson was harshly adjudged to have fouled Zach Scott inside the area.
The MLS leaders turned the game on its head four minutes after the restart when Osvaldo Alonso picked up the ball 35 yards from goal, unleashing a strike which cannoned into the net off the bar to make it 2-1.
It was all square once more on the 55-minute mark as Roberto Soldado was brought down inside the area, brushing himself down to tuck the spot kick away.
The topsy-turvy contest swung back the way of the hosts with a little over 10 minutes remaining thanks to Tristan Bowen's tap in from two yards after some good work by Sean Okoli to square the ball.
There was still time for another goal, though, with Spurs hitting back immediately through yet another penalty. This time DeAndre Yedlin was penalised for handling the ball inside the box, and Iago Falque stepped up to successfully convert and make it 3-3 to round off the scoring.
