Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly scheduled a direct meeting with Ajax boss Erik ten Hag as they continue their search for a new manager.
Spurs have placed rookie coach Ryan Mason in caretaker charge until the end of the campaign after parting company with Jose Mourinho last week.
Chairman Daniel Levy is believed to have drawn up a small shortlist of candidates to succeed Mourinho, who lasted less than 18 months in North London.
Julian Nagelsmann has since been snapped up by Bayern Munich, however, and Brendan Rodgers has supposedly indicated that he is not interested in leaving Leicester City.
According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Spurs have now focused their attention on Ten Hag.
The Dutchman has spent four years in charge of Ajax and famously guided the Eredivisie giants to the Champions League semi-finals in 2018-19, where they lost to Tottenham.
Ten Hag, who has also previously managed Go Ahead Eagles, Utrecht and Bayern Munich's reserve side, has a record of 119 wins from his 163 games in charge of Ajax. body check tags ::
