Former Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri is in the running to become Tottenham Hotspur's new head coach, according to Italian journalist Francesco Repice.
Allegri has been out of work since leaving Juve in the summer of 2019, but the 53-year-old continues to be linked with a number of leading European clubs.
According to Repice, Tottenham could make an approach for the Italian, who won five Serie A titles and four Coppa Italia trophies during his time in Turin.
"Any sensible club would bet on him," he told Juventus News 24. "Watch out for Tottenham, both for him and for [Maurizio] Sarri, but a big club that wants to revive the team has only one name that can be used: Massimiliano Allegri."
Spurs, who are searching for a replacement for Jose Mourinho, had been strongly linked with RB Leipzig boss Julian Nagelsmann, but the 33-year-old has already accepted to become the new Bayern Munich manager.
Meanwhile, another reported target Erik ten Hag recently signed a new contract with Ajax. body check tags ::
