Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest transfer talk for Tottenham on Friday, September 11.

The summer transfer window has now begun, with rumours and speculation continuing to swirl as Tottenham Hotspur eye possible reinforcements.

Spurs were among the biggest spenders during the January transfer window but are expected to be active again in the summer as Jose Mourinho continues to mould his squad.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest news on possible comings and goings at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Friday morning's Tottenham Hotspur transfer talk news roundup:

Ainsley Maitland-Niles 'still considering Arsenal exit'

Ainsley Maitland-Niles is reportedly still weighing up the possibility of leaving Arsenal this summer.

The 23-year-old's future has been the subject of speculation in recent weeks, with Wolverhampton Wanderers, Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur said to be interested in his signature.

A recent report claimed that Wolves had dropped their interest as they believed that it would be very difficult to sign him during this summer's transfer window.

Maitland-Niles impressed for Arsenal in the Community Shield against Liverpool at the end of last month, while he made his England debut against Denmark in the UEFA Nations League on Tuesday.

According to the Daily Mail, the defender is determined to remain in Gareth Southgate's plans ahead of next summer's European Championships and knows that he needs first-team football in the coming season.

As a result, the report claims that Maitland-Niles is considering leaving the Emirates Stadium before the October transfer deadline in order to guarantee regular action.

The academy product featured on 33 occasions for the Gunners during the 2019-20 campaign, largely operating as a right-back, although he also turned out in central midfield.

Real Madrid willing to pay half of Gareth Bale's wages to offload forward?

Real Madrid are reportedly prepared to pay half of Gareth Bale's hefty salary in an attempt to facilitate his move back to the Premier League.

The Wales international is not part of boss Zinedine Zidane's plans and admitted last week that he will consider any offers from English clubs.

Bale, who made just 20 appearances for Los Blancos last season, returned to the Spanish capital this week to hold talks with the club hierarchy.

According to The Telegraph, Madrid have accepted that the only realistic way to get the outcast forward off their books is to subsidise 50% of his £600,000-a-week wages.

That could tempt Manchester United into making a move for one of their long-term targets, while former club Tottenham Hotspur are also believed to hold an interest.

Bale was close to joining Chinese Super League side Jiangsu Suning last summer, only for Los Blancos to block the transfer at the eleventh hour.
