Rafael van der Vaart has been handed his first start of the season by Tottenham Hotspur manager Andre Villas-Boas for the visit of West Bromwich Albion.
The Dutchman will provide support for Jermain Defoe in attack for Spurs while Younes Kaboul is replaced in central defence by Jan Vertonghen.
Emmanuel Adebayor is on the bench following his permanent switch to White Hart Lane and Gylfi Sigurdsson is also named as a substitute.
