Tottenham Hotspur's Dele Alli could face retrospective disciplinary action from the Football Association after video replays appeared to suggest that he punched Claudio Yacob during the 1-1 draw with West Bromwich Albion.
The off-the-ball incident was not spotted by referee Mike Jones, but may be punishable with a suspension if the governing body were to review the footage.
Former Spurs midfielder and BBC pundit Jermaine Jenas has weighed in on the incident, admitting that the PFA Young Player of the Year appeared to lash out at the West Brom defender.
"I'm mixed with this situation. I don't want to take away from Dele - he's not a player that gets sent off. Yes, there have been incidents that I would call petulance. Yacob does not even flinch. It's the reaction from Dele that worries people and that can have an affect at international level," he told BBC Sport.
Tottenham's 1-1 draw with West Brom gives Leicester City the chance to clinch the Premier League title with a victory at Manchester United this weekend.
