Eric Dier has revealed that confidence is high in the Tottenham Hotspur camp and has warned Manchester City that his side will not give up on winning the Premier League title.
The Lilywhites entered the international break with back-to-back victories, including a headline-grabbing 3-1 win over defending champions Real Madrid in the Champions League.
Sunday's 1-0 win against Crystal Palace kept Spurs within eight points of top-flight leaders City, meanwhile, and Dier hopes to now build on recent results and close the gap when club action resumes.
"I believe what we are doing is right that has been the case for a long time," he told reporters. "Win lose or draw against Real Madrid, that would have been the same. Winning that game has obviously given us confidence as individuals and as a group.
"You've got to keep trying to improve and push the boundaries. That's the same for club and country; you've got to keep trying to improve. That's the key.
"The games we have had in the last month have been really good and the results have been very positive. Obviously, Manchester City have been fantastic recently but there is so much football to be played before the end. I'm sure there are going to be lots of twists and turns before the end."
Spurs take on North London rivals Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium in their next outing on November 18, before travelling to Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League three days later.
